logi Work Event at Porsche Musum Stuttgart 22.10.2024
I was pleased to join Logitech Germany’s logi WORK Event at Porsche Museum on October 22nd, 2024 just after arriving from my family vacation in Spain, where we landed in Stuttgart.
My family visited the Porsche Museum while I listened to sessions about Modern Work 3.0: How do companies and the working world have to change? (Uwe Klatt, Head of Direct Engagement EU B2B Logitech) as well as “Taking responsibility for the future with sustainability” (Rainer Karcher from Heartprint GmbH) “Digital workplace transformation at XXXLdigital – Part of XXXL Groups” (Thomas Lindenhofer & Paul Pamperl). Dear Markus Widl, I had to run to a Bechtle Neckarsulm Team Lead Meeting and could not join your Microsoft 365 Copilot Session.
Responsible AI is more than auditing prompts and control responses
I am thankful that Rainer Karcher from Heartprint GmbH also said that AI-based image generation is incredibly demanding regarding power, much more than creating summaries or texts. I hear many discussions that people are not using Google anymore because Copilot, Perplexity, or Chat GPT are much more helpful. As an AI Power User, I am talking to myself, and I always need to consider this power consumption topic. New nuclear plants are currently being built for AI Data Centers, which is not my interest.
Rainer Karcher continued by describing how well Logitech is leading with sustainability in its manufacturing processes, packaging, and devices made of recycled plastics.
I had the opportunity to touch the recycled grains of plastics, which were available in many fashion colors. I had a thoughtful discussion about recycling, which is also needed for keyboards, mice, webcams, and headsets at the end of life. Logitech also wants to improve this part of the lifecycle, not only in the production phase.
Modern Work at XXXL and their long journey to Next Generation of Meeting Rooms
Thomas Lindenhofer & Paul Pamperl described how their first meeting rooms looked like in their HQ in Linz Austria, but went through most of the evolution steps through the years. They followed a modular approach by purchasing cameras and monitors from different vendors but did not see a high acceptance. End Users came into the meeting rooms with laptops because it was easier. Now they have rolled-out Microsoft Teams Rooms with Logitech Rally Bar, Tap, Sight and Center and acceptance has increased massively. They also ensured that cable management was hidden behind a good-looking cover around the screen. End Users receive high-quality Logitech Webcams, mice and keyboards for their working-from-home setup with the following results: Fewer IT Support Tickets, and users care more about their devices because of their value.
It is always a pleasure to see Logitech Center in Microsoft Teams Rooms settings, capturing 360-degree dialogue situations.
Networking is Key at Events
I also had the pleasure not only to talk to the host and organizer Andreas Kunz who is leading B2B Marketing but also Head of Channel, Markus Weinberg, who cares with his team for us at HanseVision and Bechtle
Thank you also for the nice Mouse Desk Mat, Team Logitech! It feels very comfortable to use.
