Last.fm Top Artists

scrobbled by Spotify. I only use Last.fm to get this kind of measurements and analysis which is representative in this case. I won\’t publish Top10 Hits in 2014 because my kids are also using my account. You know what I mean.

Tripit 2014

here I collect all trips, flights, hotel reservations. Haven\’t saved the numbers of 2013, I assume it was higher last year because I am doing more home office now and my train rides are not listed here.

Foursquare Checkins

Difficult year for Foursquare, seems to nobody likes the separation of their app into two. I still use this services because I am getting older and need to remember where I have been, which restaurants I liked and can recommend. Reviewing Foursquare checkins is really helpful for doing travel expenses.

Spotify listening time

I only listened >13 days to music in 2014? There Is room for improvement in 2015: But as you can see it`s only Spotify, no locally stored songs. Spotify is by far my number 1 streaming service, I am premium member since first day.

what is missing:

A lot! I lost my Fitbit in 2014 and I am not part anymore of the gamification high score. I still can track my steps and distances with my Smartwatches (Pebble, LG GearLive) and my Smartphones (Lumia 930, Nexus5) but I dont really care anymore about it, gamification has lost it`s power which is not good.

For 2015 I want to see more intelligent applications which combine and integrate data and give helpful and personalized recommendations according to my data. Have a real impact in my daily life! Some activity trackers like Microsoft Band and Jawbone Up have already started but most of them are too narrow minded. Thorsten Firlus (Schweinhund Blog at Wirtschaftswoche) is arguing that he did a very long run in the morning and in the afternoon the tracker is sending annoying messages that he need to do more activities (while sitting in a longer meeting). I am tracking my sleep with Misfit App for Pebble and can see how many hours  I slept (overall and deep sleep). Now I want to see how this measurements are correlating with other data like late-night-meetings / work, consumption of drinks, watched movies or sport activities. Then I am going to see more value in tracking my life because I can change my habits based on these recommendations which I get nowhere else.
